Schwachsinn an maximaler Materialverschwendung. Ich wette darauf, dass die Enge hinter dem Bassmitteltöner mehr klangliche Nachteile bereitet, als der Vorteil an Resonanzfreiheit des Gehäuses.

I've seen you discovered my homepage. It is a free webservice and I suffered from reaching the datalimit. I reduced drastically the size of the pictures, hope that this will suffice for a while.

With regard to some calling me mad, I am . I know people who spend all their time building 10 enclosures in a year, I do only one pair .

Some people think that the inverted horn is too short. It is not. It has the same length that is applied in the Nautilus 801. The only difference is that it is curled up. Also, in the Nautilus 801, the horn is closed. Read the white paper of the 800D, appendix V page 16, if you want to know more about this invention of B&W: http://www.bwspeakers.com/index.cfm/...F512A665741805

The combination of sphere and tube works magnificent. Internal standing waves are completely non-existing. I thank B&W a lot for this invention!

With respect to the Peerless HDS 152 Exclusive: the latest test in Klang+Ton confirmed the absolute top notch quality of this midwoofer .

I'm a very happy listener now and in the process of tuning the crossover.

I think you make a very unfounded statement.

Normally, in high end boxes with thick baffles, the driver is put into a narrow space where the thick baffle surrounds the driver with only the magnet sticking out just behind the baffle. In my enclosure, because of the internal sphere with thin baffle at the opening where the driver frame is resting on the flexible rubber, there is a lot of air space directly behind the driver. Furthermore, the cone to which the driver magnet is mounted, guarantees optimal air flow to the inverted horn. All in all, the enclosure guarantees optimal acoustic and symmetrical loading of the driver.

Gutes Argument. Aber ist das "Gehäuserauschen" denn wirklich hörbar? Das, was ein Standardgehäuse durchlässt, ist mindestens 20 dB leiser, also ausreichend und m.E. nicht hörbar.
