Aria light with w100s4 braucht hilfe

First time poster! Be gentle...
Sorry about the English text, but my German is not top notch...
Anyway, I do understand written Deutsch!
So, please help me to pair w100s4 with G20sc!
I'm having a difficult time to design a decent crossover. I've attached the Boxsim project which I've built, but I'm not happy with it. It sounds like I've switched on the loudness button constantly. Mids are recessed, bass and highs are prominent. And it lacks "speed".
Please, bitte, help me!

Hi Peter,

unluckily the W100S doesn't behave as the simulation leads one to assume.
I'd recommend to start from the original Aria Light (with W100S8) and adjust the low-pass for half the impedance.

If you have a closer look at the aria light, the simulation shows a slight peak in the cross-over area but the measurement is rather smooth - you should try to take this into account when designing your crossover.
A simple solution is to match the frequency-response of your W100S4 with the W100S8 in the aria light.
This will lead you to a lowpass of 1,0mH + 10uF but 0,82mH sounds somewhat "cleaner".
You might want to have a look at Silvio's Aria UL94, too - it uses a different tweeter but the same woofer.

Those crossovers will nearly fill the whole box!

I agree with helli: it`s not useful to get a linear simulation. To make it clear please compare the two pictures: in pic 1 you see a measurement of CheapTrick 241, a small box with W100S/4 and SC10N, designed by german loudspeaker magazine Klang&Ton 2/2009. Pic 2 shows the same box as boxsim-simulation: higher level between 1500 and 3000 Hz. If you design your crossover in order to get an linear simulation you will get a lack of level between 1500 - 3000 Hz in real. Maybe that is what you call a lack of speed.

Hello All!

Thanks for helping me out, I've built the 0,82 mH 10 uF lowpass with 3,3 ohm, 3,3 uF, 2,2 mH highpass. It sounds good to my ears. No midrange peak or lack, bass and treble are just okay.
