    B200 high frequency dispersion?

    Dear Admin and others!

Could you provide some graphs showing dispersion of the freq response of the B200 at angles of e.g. 0, 30 and 60 degrees?

Although B200 seems to be a respectable driver, I'm a bit worried about the high freq beaming and diminishing of the sweet spot.

    Thanks!

    Hi Elias,

I' ve no graphs for you, but I heard the Solo 100. It is a really great speaker, great soundstage and rythm, VERY detailed, no missing of heights or anything else, but outside the sweetspot it sounds shitty. That is the only disadvantage I can see, you have to take it or forget it.

The last graph in http://www.visaton.de/vb/showthread....&threadid=5234 is a measurement of the directivity index. In the data sheet there are 3 polar diagrams. As you can see out of these measurements, there is some beaming, but it isn't as bad as one would expect of a 20 cm cone.
I haven't heard the B200 yet, but i would expect +-10 degrees of axis to still sound good. +-30 is probably too much, the b200 is almost 10 dB down at 5 KHz http://www.visaton.de/deutsch/bildgr...aabstrahl2.htm
