    Genaudio Intro

Apologies for starting this new thread, but I do not understand German and I am using google translate all the way to navigate! real nightmare! Please advise if I am in the wrong thread!

I have just finished a pair of VOX253MTI and Aria 2 MHT Centre. The living room is 7.15x4.40m and all the 7.1 speakers are in "text book" positioning with the right distances and angles, running on a NAD T785.

I am looking for side and back wall-mount surround DIY options obviously Visaton and to match the kit above. I am not running into the long debated dipole vs bipole vs direct, but being an AV integrator myself I have never heard a dipole that really impressed me. Honestly I prefer a direct radiating sound. Have looked at the Aria Dipol as an option but I'm sure I'll end up with the "direct" switch always on, and would rather modify 4 x Aria 2's to be wall mounted and having more LF output from the 2 Ti's than only 1. Would rather invest in working drivers than 2 HF's doing nothing...........

Has anyone experienced the Aria Dipol 1 and advise? Any recommendations? Anyone has any other building plans for decent surround options with Visaton drivers?

BTW I have never experienced Visaton before and built the 253MTI blindly and only heard them once finished .......... now its only Visaton

    Thanks to all.

    Hi,

you should check out the Aria 2 MHT Center, as well as the Aria MHT. If you want to wall mount them, type it all into Boxsim, and check the differences if you set the Baffle to a very big one.
Although that will be a problem, since both TI100 and the MHT are kind of "unsimulatable", (edit: the TI100 is a challenge to simulate with a small baffle, so with a wall mount it should be better) or at least their real behaviour will be more different from the simulation than others.

The Aria 2 MHT Center has a 2.5 way configuration, which is good if you want to use it in horizontal config. Maybe you'll get someone who can simulate an Aria 2 wall mounted with a straight 2 way xover. That would probably be the best to suit your Voxes.
