    Sub woth 2xW200s or GF200G

    Hello,

pardon my Englisch, aber meine Deutch ist leider nicht so gut...

I've got an Subwoofer Amp that produces 100Watt RMS, the official Sinus Watt Max is a 120Watt, power consumption is 230Watt

What can I put on the module,

    I've got two options:

2xW200S8 or 1xGF200G, would the module be powerfull enough for one of there combinations? And wich give a better result, more surface or the heavier one?

    Gr. Henri

if you have limited room available then use the GF200
the W200S need big boxes to bring bass (and you have two of them)
but perhaps two W250S would do better as subwoofers than the W200S

the amp will certainly have enough power
in a subwoofer you can bring a speaker to the end of its mechanical capacity with much fewer power
Die Chance ohne Tippschein im Lotto zu gewinnen ist fast genauso hoch wie mit Tippschein.

be aware that the 2 voicecoils (each 4 Ohm) of the GF200 result in an Impeadance of either 2 Ohm (probably too small for most amps!) or 8 Ohm! So if the 100/120W of your amp is meassured at 4 Ohm, you've got only about 70/85W.

BTW 2 seperate Subwoofers are better for a good 'distribution' of the low frequencies. The W200S works well in 20~30liter with a 'bassboost' around 30Hz.
Either does the GF200 I think.

Will the 70/85Watts be sufficient to drive the GF200G?
Or should I be looking at an other amp for the GF200G?

My option for this Sub is a front firing sub(with the GF200G as a parallel 8Ohm) with the BR25.50 and 40Liter inside.

Just like the Sub T-20.39, but then with the GF200G in it.

I can't tell You, if Your Amp will be 'large' enough for the GF200...
I guess You'll have to try! ;-) And if You want more than to buy another GF200 (if you find a second yellow one...).
But when the Amp is optimized for 4 Ohm, then 2x W200S would be +6dB louder than 1x GF200 (if electrical power is the limiting factor).

you will achieve 8 Ohm imperdance when you connect both voicecoils serial. 40-50liter vented with a BR25.50 sounds good! ('my' 20-30liter where suppodes for a closed box).

Wich will take more off the 4Ohm amp,

            Two W200S8Ohm to create 4Ohm.
            Or the GF200G as 8Ohm?

The amp has been build for a 4Ohm, 120 Watt Sinus Max Power.

I think the power of the amp is enough
              don't worry too much
              just have a try

                I've tried the woofers,

One GF200 Sounds a lot tighter then one W200S8, I think with two W200S8 it will be just more db's. The GF200G produces enough punch for a 30m3 room for audio purposes.

I think I'm going to try the T-20.39 setup, but then with the BR firing down.
